Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Find a Pro WNY collects and how we use it. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

When you submit a quote request, claim a listing, or add a business, we collect the details you provide (such as name, email, phone, and project information). We also collect basic analytics about how the site is used.

How we use it

We use your information to deliver quote requests to the relevant business, operate and improve the directory, and communicate with you about your request. We share quote details only with the business you contacted.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, what people search for, and which features they use. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) that give your browser a random identifier, and it receives information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. It does not receive your name, email address, or phone number from us.

If you buy a paid listing or sponsorship, we tell Google Analytics that a purchase happened — the product, the amount, and the currency — linked to that same random browser identifier, so we can see which parts of the site lead to sign-ups. Payment details are handled by Stripe and are never shared with Google Analytics.

Google processes this data under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. We do not sell your personal information.

30 Under 30 nominations

Nominations for Find a Pro WNY 30 Under 30 are covered by their own nomination privacy notice, because a nomination can include details about someone other than the person submitting it. That notice explains what is collected, who can see it, how long it is kept, and how to have a nomination withdrawn or deleted.

Your choices

You may request correction or removal of your information by emailing hello@findaprowny.com.
